Variable Speed Positioning Systems

Joyce/Dayton offers Variable Speed Positioning Systems (VSPS) for one-third to 3 horsepower motors in a variety of voltages. Variable speed positioning systems are programmable controllers that increase the capability of motorized jacks and actuators by allowing the operator to easily program up to ten stopping positions. They include:

• VFD and PLC
• HMI display (3”) that indicates current position as well as stopping location
• Limit switch terminals for two end-of-travel limits
• Speed control dial (real time)
• Emergency stop push button
• 208, 230, 460, 575 volts standard, three-phase power requirements
• Manual jog

Many options are available including:

• NEMA 4X enclosure
• 50 HZ motors
• International voltages
• Single-phase operation
• 5 horsepower and larger
• Pendant controls
• Stack lights and audible alarms
